NC pastor proposes concentration camps for queers

Speaking of homophobic North Carolina preachers, a pastor in Maiden has a plan to deal with the gay menace: concentration camps.

“I figured a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers, but I couldn’t get it past the Congress. Build a great, big, large fence — 150 or 100 mile long — put all the lesbians in there, fly over and drop some food. Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals, and have that fence electrified till they can’t get out. Feed ’em and— And you know what, in a few years, they’ll die out.”

Perhaps he could make them wear pink triangle patches too.

That satanic sermon was by Pastor Charles L. Worley, preaching prejudice from his pulpit at the self‐proclaimed Home of old time Religion, , on .*

[Updated links to their new website, because PRBC promptly took down their old site.]

  • The pink triangle was a Nazi concentration camp badge, identifying men imprisoned because of their homosexuality. Triangles of other colors marked other persecuted minorities, frex, brown for gypsies, purple for Jehovah’s Witnesses, and red for atheists and political enemies. Jews had to wear a yellow hexagram.
  • A similarly yclept Providence Baptist Church of Charlotte hastened to announce this did not happen there. So let me emphasize: he preached his sermon at Providence Road Baptist Church, 3283 Providence Mill Road, Maiden, NC 28650.

  1. This stuff is disgusting -- unbelievable what many people think. It makes me feel unsafe on the highways. :-)

I loved your "Jeffersonian Christian" comment on Naked Pastor
