We received a coupon for a free medium cheese pizza from a new pizzeria in Sutton Square, Amante Gourmet Pizza, so my mother and I gave it a try.
Amante’s medium size was 12-inch. My mother liked its very thin crust. Tasted a bit minty; perhaps they went heavy on the basil. Really a meal for one.
Every part of my meal besides their pizza was substandard. My broccoli calzone had been singed. Not only did it taste of char, the broccoli was stiff and lacking in flavor, probably frozen. Even my soft drink, lemonade from their self-serve dispenser, was weak.
So while my pizza was satisfactory (and free), nothing else was, and you could get a larger pie from their competitors for the price.
